Hernia
My boy is 7 years old, not neutered, he has developed small hernia. Who has experience with that?is it possible to have him neutered and live with it as long as he is not in pain? Will neutering help the progression of the hernia?
Is surgery the only option?

Re: Hernia
Thank you for the information. I think I will have him neutered asap and watch if his bump doesn't get bigger or he acts different then usually. He has perineal hernia and doesn't show any discomfort, he is still very fit and happy boy.

Re: Hernia
You could probably get botb ops done at the same time ask your vet if you're unsure

Re: Hernia
What has your vet said about the hernia? They will be the best person to judge, as they can get hands on and could be looking for possible causes of the hernia. Hernias can become uncomfortable, and I do believe that surgery is the only treatment, tho it is a routine procedure.
