dog hair...whats the best brush/comb and solutions
Anyone have any opinions on which types of brush are the best for staffys? Also, what do you do to keep the dog hair under control? It seems like my dogs have hair still rubbing off on the towel even after I bathe him 3 times in a row. Dog hair sticks to my clothes, my furniture, and my guests. Its embarrassing. He's completely healthy so thats not an issue.

I don't have an issue with Shéara's hair because he doesn't malt much at all. I use a basic bristle brush just to keep on top of it. A lot of people use a 'furminator' you can get them from Pets At Home or amazon (cheaper) it reaches deep beneath your dog's short topcoat to gently remove undercoat and loose hair.

I rarely wash or brush Ledger but he doesn't moult a great deal (at least with short black brindle coat it's not overly noticeable) he is only bathed when he has his holiday in kennels (comes back stinky else) or if he finds some fox poo to roll in but for brushing I use a zoom groom which works a treat

Will fulminators actually work? I've read reviews that they don't really work good on single coat dogs like staffys. The zoom groom just doesn't seem to get enough hair out lol.

Twice a year I get fur shed from hell, i use a shedding blade as they have a double coat and you have to be carefull you dont take out the guard hairs. they work really well on single coat dogs as well and give a massage like groom

a boar bristle brush is the best brush ever for staffie coats, a couple of millies litter mates show and they use these brushes so I did and there brill and make them really shiny as well

Zoom groom here too sounds normal with the malting thing, comes with having a dog really. Wouldn't bathe him too often, it's not good for their skin.

I bought a grooming mitt from good ole Aldi. It has rubber massage bristles on one side and a soft velvet on the other for shine & using on face or tummy and my thumb sticks out the side. Milo really grins when I use it, it's great
