tablets - how do you eat yours?

my first staff Tessa (RIP) was a very wise old girl and knew that you were trying to give her something that more than likely wasnt what she wanted so whatever you did to hide the tablet be it in peanut butter/cheese/bread/meat she would eat the treat and then a few seconds later the tablet would be popped out of her mouth through a little gap where she had lost a tooth.

Now my boy Woody isnt that smart at times, i have been having to give him Piriton for his little reactions (must have sensitive skin poor little mite) and what does he do............................eats it straight out of your hand,no messing,no hiding in treats. i can actually just leave it on the floor and within seconds he has hoovered it up!!!

Hahaha!! bless him! lol .. my last boy diesel was the same he would notice the tablet in everything!! lol .. Vinnie dont care aslong as he gets it with a treat, same with skye lol.

Clever Tessa! Apart from worming tablets which go straight in her food I don't think she's had any others, so I don't know! x

Angel is good with tablets she just eats them up especially worming tablets she loves them Rocky hasnt had to have any tablets yet so i dont know with him but i am hoping he is as good as angel

tried that one with Tessa -she still managed to pop it out of the gap with her tongue!!

I know it's awfully bad for him, but I give Dempsey tablets pushed in half a mini sponge roll. It's the only thing he doesn't seem to taste them in!

My older dogs have a glucosamine and cod liver oil capsule each day and I wrap it in that plastic cheese you get that goes on burgers (think macdonalds style cheese!). I tried loads of other things before but this stuff seems to work well because if they bite down and taste the tablet it mixes with the cheese and they dont want to give up a perfectly good piece of cheese! So they grudginly eat it!

Jethro won't even eat his heart worm chewable that they reckon all the dogs will readily eat. I have to break it into several pieces and put in his food.

Inca has an evening primrose capsule every day which she just wolf's down with no fuss but she is also has piriton for when she reacts to things and we dip a custard cream in our brew an give her the bit of piriton on the dunked custard cream !!!! Jesus she has it hard dunt she ....

If it was me, I wouldn't share my custard creams, along with jammi dodgers! She's not that special

I always wrap tablets in a slice of cheese, they go down very easily like that.
