House training advice - pee timing?
My beautiful 8-month-old Staffy x foster has brains, charm but keeps peeing on my carpet.
She is dry through the night, no problem.
She has a stack of leaves she likes to pee on outside - a stack of leaves, and she does so on command. I take her out every three/four hours.
She knows that I get annoyed when she pees on my carpet but somehow she manages to do it secretly, often after our morning walk and breakfast. She did this this morning - I told her off and took her outside for a proper pee, which she went and had. Two hours later she peed on my carpet again!
What am I doing wrong?

think you may need to take the dog out every hour giving her the command and plenty praise afterwards . what does she do before she goes some signs might be pacing back and forward, crying , scratching the door or running to the door and back again.

No signs. She is a secret stealth pee-er! I wish there were signs. I am on the lookout for them.

Ok. I shall take her out more often. She does go when we go out, but then she goes again - indoors.

Re: House training advice - pee timing?
Sounds like your doing it all right the only thing I can suggest is taking her out more often and using a high value treat such as cheese or sausage when she wees and making a big fuss It's what we did hope that helps
