Harries first trip in the Kayak

Well what I thought would be a long learning curve turned out easy basically she jumped on the back and off we went.

Harrie really took to the life vest she wore it while we chilled around the river and seemed to feel that it gave her more bouncy she was even more game around the water than normal.

Next part of the project is putting some shade on the back so she can get out of the sun.

Great pics. Iam definitely going to go kayaking with my boy (Samba) in the near future. We just started going camping & a kayak is on the list.

Afew questions:

Does she move around/or wants to move around on the kayak or does she just sit there?

If she falls out how would you get her back in the kayak?

This was her first go and she moved around a lot I have a Hobie outback and its very stable so it was no problems I wouldn't want to try it in anything less stable.

She did jump out once or twice but the life vest has a handle on the back so it was easy to lift her back in.

Im thinking for the quicker moving rivers maybe a tether about 3mt long would be good something on a quick release so I cant either pull her in or release her depending on what the situation is.
