i very nearly cried with pride!

Just been up to the private (ish) field we found a couple of months ago and seperately 3 owners came over to me and said " is that Woody, weve heard he is the friendliest dog ever". i had never seen these people before but other owners we had met previously have obviously been talking about "the friendly staffy.........Woody". im so proud of my boy for changing so many people's stereotypical views on staffys.

However i am soon going to be getting very jealous that Woody has more friends than me, i met one of the ladies in Tesco just after and she turned to her husband and said "Oh this is Woody's mum that i was telling you about".yes my dear my name is Nicola if you are interested!

Well done Woody I get the same, pop into the pub and its all 'Moo, how are you' then goes the stroking and fuss, I'm just stood there like 'hi, I'm here too'

its ridiculous isnt it! i get texts off my mates saying "how's woody" yeh im fine thanks friend of 20 plus years!

I almost begin to feel neglected! x

oh i forgot to say also on the way back some random kid asked if woody liked footballs, when i replied oh yes he loves them she gave us her football-whether her parents will be as pleased i dont know!

Aww what a cutey! Sounds like a nice place to live and great people around. Instead of being offered a ball can they offer me a pint

ha my uncle called out last week and he hasnt been here in a while so whenmy parents told him i was out walking the two boys and their coming along nicely his jaw nearly hit the floor while looking around the room for signs of twins my mam was not happy aout me getting dogs and went off on one but after i rounded the corner with one in my hand and the girlfirend holding the other she was sold

I actually got one lady tell me (after she had been stroking & fussing Inca for a good 20 mins) .."she's so friendly and affectionate isn't she, which is a rarety for that breed isn't it"...
THAT BREED..!!!!! What was she expecting.. Inca hanging from her neck or summit...
I explained it's all about how you raise them and ANY breed is capable of turning nasty or biting but she just wouldn't have it that Staffys can be (like we all know) loving, super soft, friendly, affectionate, loves a cuddle etc ..

Also when i told Inca to sit down a minute and wait (which she did).. the woman added "oh and she's obedient aswell ...what a clever girl"...

Obviously doesn't know much about dogs especially anything our gorgeous & crazy Staffs.... Think twice about moaning about our Staffs if you know sod all about em or even own one !!!!

Thats me little rant over ....

Its great when people get to know them and actually care about them. I live on a council estate and there are about 15 children ranging from 3 - 10 who play outside every day. Every time I come out the flats or pull up outside they all run over, calling the dogs names and bringing them food. Honestly they are like celebrities!!

Awww go woody you little star. There is an old fella by mine that used to avoid Ty all the time untill I took him out one day with his cone on his head and this fella came over and asked me what had happend and gave him a stroke. We see him vertually every day now and he says hi to Ty and on the odd occasion will pull a pork chop out of his pocket for him lol.

Well done. Anyrhing to erasre the sterotype is excellent.

But Janey she really does look "BLUE"!!!!!!

I have to admit that there's been times when I've gone all gooey eyed and said "OMG what a gorgeous staff", before I've acknowledged there was a human arm attached to it.

Woody is a big in my eyes whoever his owner is.
