chewing pillows
Hi everyone. I am new to this site but I have used it several times for help as it is fantastic!!!!
We have a 13 month old puppy called Lola, she used to tear soft toys apart so she could get to the stuffing. She did stop for quite a while but this week she has started again.
During the night she went through 4 cushions on the settees (old ones) so we put her back in the kitchen but she then decided to cvhew at her bedding and we came down to a load of fluff everwhere.
Any ideas why she is doing this and how we can get her to stop.

Re: chewing pillows
no idea really, sash loves to chew soft toys and get all the stuffing out even now,and she used to chew cushions when she was younger, the times we came home and it looked like it had snowed in the front room

Re: chewing pillows
Hmm.. Pillows. My Flo is an older girl and will "Paw" the pillows to make them comfy. She has wrecked all of ours and the OH has to keep making new ones
I guess if you want to keep nice pillows, keep them out of Staffy reach.
As for the bed, well I guess it's a kinda tough love thing. Destroy it and you won't get a new one for a while.

Re: chewing pillows
Try replacing the cushions with toys she is allowed to chew, stag bars are good for chewers but never leave your dog unattended with a stag bar or similar

Re: chewing pillows
Try a nylon bone, they come in mint, bacon and chicken flavour, they last a while and dogs seem to love them, it might help knacker her jaw a little
