logan is getting better already
started to get Logan sitting and waiting when people enter the door and so far so good no jumping. still need to stop the barking and i was looking around the internet today and there was a thing on muzzling your dog if he barks for 5 minutes the taking it off and rewarding him has anyone herd of this before and if so does it work ? and also nicking things is a problem but nothing major.

Glad Logan's progressing . Please don't muzzle him if he barks though. You could try teaching him to "speak" n command and then you can use "quiet" to stop him barking. I'm not at a computer at the moment but when I do get to my desk in the morning I will post how to do this

Re: logan is getting better already
Wow... Well done on getting the jumping under some control already
I wouldn't use the muzzle for stopping barking as it could be taken as a negative thing and be an issue if you need to use it in the future. Could you try getting him to sit and when quiet give him a high value treat, something really tasty and seen as a special reward.
As for the nicking things, this is all great fun to a young Staff... You'll just have to out smart him here

Re: logan is getting better already
I'd opt for the quiet command over the muzzle
