Re: jealous staffy
What was the 9 month old doing before getting bitten? Was it a short, fast, warning bite or a forceful bite?

Re: jealous staffy
She went near his toy and yes it was a short fast warning bite and a growl. Shes just started crawling so its difficult to keep them apart .

Re: jealous staffy
Sorry do you mean a 9 month old child? You said crawling so I assume so. I got confused I thought you meant a 9 month old dog.
I'd take all toys up from the floor so there's nothing to get jealous over. Give the toy to your staffy somewhere where he can be alone with it, i.e. put him in the garden with it and make sure your 9 month old can't get to him. That way he has somewhere he can safely play with his toys and when he's not playing with them take them up off the floor. Same goes with food. Don't offer food to him when your 9 month is close by, make sure there's no bones laying on the floor etc. All he's doing is saying "hey that's mine" but the only way he can do that is a warning bite which is obviously not what you want. Be safe and make sure there's nothing he can get jealous over lying about
