Post by Mia05 Tue Oct 28 2014, 21:13

Adaptil collar used like a normal collar
Adaptil spray spray on dogs bedding or blankets
Adaptil diffuser this plugs into any mains plug socket.

Thundershirt .

A cardboard box or crate with a blanket where the dog can hide .

There are a variety of remedies to use for bonfire night for your dog. Be safe stay alert if in doubt contact your vet .

We spray Rockys blanket with the adaptil spray which seem to work for him. He has this week been sleeping through some of the fireworks which is great.

Adaptil plug in for the first time this year and Ledger has his thundershirt on in the evenings touch wood we have only had an odd couple so far

He has also been on the serene ums tablets but that has made no impact on his general anxiety issues

He was out with the dog walker on Monday night and didn't react when a couple went off but in general he has been reluctant to go out at night fingers crossed as the weekend approaches been called into work Sat so might not get home til 7pm just hoping he will be ok with the radio up loud til I get back!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I have been hearing great things about the thundershirt and may have to invest! If it doesn't calm him at least it can keep him a little warmer!
