Here we go again.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2798326/pregnant-woman-left-arm-hanging-thread-attacked-staffordshire-bull-terrier-type-dog.html

This time it's an article by some 'journalist' (yeah, right!) called Jennifer Newton about a woman who was attacked by a dog. Being a top quality journalist Ms Newton couldn't be bothered to find out the breed of dog so declares it to be a 'Staffordshire Bull-Terrier type' dog. In other words, she hasn't got a clue.

Then she quotes from an alleged witness, "'The dog is a mastiff or Staffordshire bull terrier cross. It's huge. Like a small horse."

Well it would have to be a f***ing small horse if it's a Staffie. Jesus wept.

For good measure she's also reprinted the photo of the Staffie sneezing which they use in every single article about dog attacks, whether a Staffie is involved or not. Knowing nothing about dogs the DM journos (an oxymoron, I know) think that the dog in the photo is snarling.

There are cretins, there are total cretins and then there are Daily Mail journalists.

If it was her own dog does she not know what breed it is ? Maybe the journalist she have spoken to the owner before going to print ? or is this too much like joined up thinking for them ?

Easy target, bad journalism. If they could see 99.9% of Staff's they would realise that the worst attack you are ever likely to get is an attack of Licks.
