New owner
I got my mum a new little Staffordshire about 5months ago, big mistake! She lives in multi storey flats but promised mr that she would look after her properly and I didn't have any concerns as my mum has always been an animal lover, I dont think she realized how much work was involved.I had been at my mum's house regularly and I was seeing that she wasn't taking the dog out enough and the dog was starting to be aggressive, I think it was down to all the dogs energy and no-where to burn it off, so basically the dog is now 6.5 months now and I have taken the dog off of my mum.The pup"Judy" is now thriving, the aggression she was showing is subsiding as I take her out at least 4 or 5 times a day so she doesn't have much energy to do anything but my concern with Judy is that she has small bald patches on her head and body, they dont Iitch or irritate her but it doesn't look nice, has anyone got any advice on the aggression and the bald spots? I have been brought up with dogs most of my life so I know some stuff but im eager to learn more about Staffordshire bull terrier s as I always had jack russells, any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: New owner
Hi and welcome from me and Daisy, the hairloss could be allergies, seasonal alopeica, colour dillution alopecia (what could is she?) It could also be demodex so I would suggest a vet trip to rule that out at least x

Re: New owner
Hi and welcome to the forum from me and the zoo xx
I would take her to the vets to have some skin scrapes done to rule out things like mites and allergies. Knox has seasonal alopecia where his fur falls out for the cold season and then comes back throughout the summer.

Has she been flea'd? My brothers lurcher had three patches on her leg and no visible itching due to fleas.

Re: New owner
The reason my dog got demodex is because my mother never took Judy out enough so her immune system didn't have a chance todevelop properly and that is why she was open to this little mite that lives in her follicles.I am just letting people know that if you don't take your puppy out often enough to build his/her immune system then this is what happens and I wouldn't want any dog to suffer this so please take heed.
