Manchester dogs home a little faith in humanity
The awful fire was heart breaking but I have had a bit of faith in humanity restored when you see the responce of the local people turning out to help.
Even more amazing was the response to the Manchester evening news setting up a just giving page with a target of £5000.... well they have smashed it, at the time of writing it has just passed £500,000.00 in just over 12 hours.
I just find it amazing how when it comes to dogs this nation will show so much generosity. ie in the time it took me to write this its just gone up by 26K!!! sometimes I feel proud of this country.

And its still going up and up. Been following the blog on the Manchester evening standard site and the people are amazing.
They have now set the target to one million and I hope they smash that too.
I think that kid if he did it will need police protection after this.
scroll down and look at how much people have donated http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/live-manchester-dogs-home-fire--7758178

Re: Manchester dogs home a little faith in humanity
saw a bit on the news about it,they were talking to a guy who went in and rescued some of the dogs,he said he did'nt think about the risk to his own life,he just wanted to get the dogs out,it did make me feel proud of him and all that helped those poor dogs,it made me cry
