Crate Size unsure...
We got Bane a crate at the weekend to give it a go, see if he likes it, it would come in handy for holidays etc.
We got a 36" XL size for him but I am not sure if it is big enough.
He can stand up, turn around, lay down and sit in it but I'm not sure he can fully lift his head when sitting/standing. When looking at the crate sizes however, they didn't really get taller, maybe by an inch for the largest one which the OH Bane and myself could all fit in
Are they supposed to be able to say look up at the ceiling if they wanted to? Or be able to tilt their head right back?
Has anyone got any photos of their pups in their crates to see the space comparison? I will try and get some tomorrow!

If he can stand and turn around I think it's fine

I think as long as he can turn around easily the head room isn't such an issue.

Re: Crate Size unsure...
Ok thats cool! We would get him the super jumbo one if we could but then we wouldn't be able to fit it in the car defeating the point of having one! This is how he fits:

That looks just fine, I got Ledgers off a collie owner at obedience training whos dog had out grown theirs (was under a year old and a good couple inches taller than Ledger) so no idea what size it is but think it looks a bit smaller than yours. Had no issues tbh he only goes in there to sleep

Does everyone have a crate for their staffy? Tried ours in one and he hated it. He couldn't look out of the car windows

Iza likes hers, soon as i put on music channel she goes into it, play music for her when i have to go out and leave her but she doesn't sleep in it during night.

Travis likes the back seat so he can rest his head over my shoulder with the window open. The back windows in our car only hinge open an inch or so.

Re: Crate Size unsure...
Thanks everyone! We're on day 3 of crate training and I think he is quite enjoying going in it! Although hasn't slept in it yet or had the doors shut so that will be our next goal!
DarrenElbrow: We have only got the crate for when we go away on holiday, and also thought it would come in handy if he ever had to stop at someone else's house just to eliminate any chance of him chewing on things he shouldn't!
How did you introduce your pup to it? First day we got it Bane wouldn't go near it! With lots of treats and feeding him his dinner in there he is more than happy to go in now

I can't have Daisy loose in the car, she'd be sat on my knee!DarrenElbrow wrote:Travis likes the back seat so he can rest his head over my shoulder with the window open. The back windows in our car only hinge open an inch or so.

Saz! I'm sure they all would be! We have a seat belt for Bane in the back, but I quite often find myself driving with a little fluffy nose on my shoulder!
