I'm with Sainsbury Pet Insurance and thats just £13.00 a month.
It covers each illness or condition upto £7500 with help with advertising for lost pet and payment if the un mentionable happens.
I have not had to claim yet so touch wood everything will run smoothly when and if I do.

i forgot which one we have, will have to check when i get home, but someone said to me make sure it covers the whole of life, so they cannot refuse to insure you when your dog gets older and may need more treatment

HOW MUCH????? £75 per month per dog? Wow, that's SO overpriced!
I'm with Sainsbury's on the highest plan which gives £7500 per illness for life. It was £13 per month, but is going up this month to £17 per month because I claimed over £3000 last year! I can live with that.
You need to have a look at....
1. What's the level of cover per illness?
2. Is the cover per illness for life & not just for the policy year?
3. How much the 3rd party liability is?
4. How much excess can you afford? (The more you can afford, the less you'll pay on the insurance)
5. Do you get a payment on death of the dog equal to the amount you paid for it?
6. If your dog is lost/stolen do you get help with advertising/reward money?

To be honest, you're still paying over the top! Mine is £17 per month for £7,500 per illness for life with a £3,000,000 3rd party, payment of up to £1000 on death of dog & money towards advertising (can't remember how much, but I think it's there or thereabouts the same) with kennelling if I'm incapacitated & can't look after the dog. Mine is also £75 excess.
