Training treats
I'm just curious as to what treats people use, and for what level of appreciation.

Re: Training treats
General day to day Ledger has the puppy marrow biscuits (just as they are small) or gravy bone biscuits easy to break into pieces
When we are at agility/flyball we move to high level treats best/easiest is packs of chicken roll or garlic sausage, the chicken roll slices (especially supermarket basic versions) are very high water content so not too fatty just as these can be torn into tiny pieces

Re: Training treats
I make Liver Cake as our usual treat but when we run out we use the marrow bones and other small shop bought treats.
I would have said Liver cake was a pretty high reward but Bane will spit it out sometimes if there is something more interesting about! Other dogs however will follow me if they know I have them in my pocket

Re: Training treats
Millie will eat anything and everything seems to be rewarding enough lol so it doesnt matter what i use as a treat but for agility or kennel club training i do use sausage
Re: Training treats
So they are not necessarily "dog food"?
Just want to make sure I don't reward Max with something that will make him ill lol

Re: Training treats
We use dried venison for hide and seek games around the flat, while out on walkies he has some of his daily allowance of food.
The dried venison treats we use as in link below, we just cut them up into small pieces:

Re: Training treats
I make my own liver treats but when I've run out I will use anything: bits of frankfurter, tiny bits of cheese or bread.

We tried the starter pack and found she'll do anything for any one of them, no matter how small we chop them! They lasted about a month and we ordered 3x100g bags on Friday and got them today. Cost around £11.
