Rip Jessie
New to the forum but need some support I had to have my baby girl Put to sleep yesterday and I feel like my heart is breaking. I had her 5 yrs she was a rescue dog.
she was such a loving little girl, but turn aggressive when I had my son 2 yrs ago I tried behaviour training but it didn't work I had to look to rehome her when she went for my son but had no luck this was a year ago now.
I kept them apart which only made matters worse as she would then snap at me I had to make the decision when she made contact I could no longer trust her.
the vet said I was being a responsible owner and parent but it's made me feel no better I feel like I let my little girl down and now she is gone and I can't stop crying.
I pray she doesn't hate me as I love her with all my heart.

Re: Rip Jessie
My heart goes out to you. This is the one decision that nobody wants to make, You gave your girl 5 wonderful years in a loving home.
Sometimes whatever you do to try and fix things It just can't be done. You tried everything you could. Given the circumstances you did the kindest thing. The Vet is right, you are a responsible owner and parent. You haven't let her down.
I'm sure she is running free at Rainbow bridge a happy girl at last.

Re: Rip Jessie
So sorry that you're going through this but you did the right thing. We've had to make the exact same choice and it's so damn hard but you have to think of the consequences of if you didn't do what you did.
Hugs to you and your family and run free Jessie xx
