A year on Empty A year on

Post by Bob R Wed Aug 13 2014, 10:24

It was a 12 months yesterday that we lost Zac and I have updated that thread below.
Since I lost him I have always had a photo of him on my mobile phone and my laptop screen saver.
I have Rocky now who was recently 12 months old and I feel some guilt towards him for not replacing the photo of Zac with Rocky.
I almost feel that I am turning by back on Zac if I replace the photo's. What do you guys reckon?

Can understand how you feel but you shouldnt, Zac is gone but not forgotten hence the pic on your phone and screen saver. Remember Rocky is here and you see him everyday for cuddles and company. He understands I am sure  Smile

I'm pretty sure you will have plenty pics of Rocky as well so I'm sure he will understand and like Inez said Rocky is getting his love as well.

When the time feels right you'll change the pics.

In no way would you be turning your back on Zac. He's in your heart and that's what matters.

I still have some pics of my first dog Judy, she left us about 20 years ago and I still think about her all the time. I have even called Rocky Judy on a couple of occasions. I will never forget her. Rocky is no way a replacement for her just a different dog.

mate...I lost my boy three year ago...I know exactly how you feel about guilt..even when we was looking for another pup these last few months...the guilt I felt...wow...got a new pup now...it hasn't gone away..doubt if it ever will....but..heres the but...life is for the living...i'll never forget elwood he was one of a kind..was there at his birth and there at death..his memory lives on through me...as with the photo's ..there's no time...no rush..as I also use elwood's photo the same on my avatar as my screen saver...time is a great healer...so they say.
