Introduction
Hi all,
Came across the forum recently and have decided to join. I've had my Staffordshire, Buddy for almost a year now and looking for some advice in calming him down on his walks. He's a super dog, very good with Adults and Children and very obedient in and around the house, but, when he sees another dog he gets soooo excited that he antagonises the other dogs with his over-confident manner! He's never agressive but constantly wants to jump all over the other dog(s) and constantly just licks their faces but it's still embarassing for me and is off-putting for the other dog walkers too.... As soon as he gets within 10 feet he's trying to lunge forward and I need to constantly make him sit until he is calm again but getting his focus removed is proving the challenge. Having read that back I suppose there is an element of agression there but doesn't seem threatening....
Any tips or training techniques you can share will greatly be received. I'm currently also looking for a class to take him to as well to try and help with this issue. We did partake in some puppy classes when we first got him but his size then wasn't so much an issue where his strength and size are now becoming one, particularly with the smaller dogs.
Anyway without further ado, here is Buddy, the first picture is from around 12 weeks old with the latter two around 6 months and then his 1st Birthday.
I look forward to being pointed in the direction of any forum sections that can help Buddy and I.

Re: Introduction
Hi & Welcome from Flo and me
Buddy looks great. He's still young and you will see many changes along the way. Be patient. If you are consistent with your training you'll get there and have a very contented companion. Classes will do you no harm at all and will certainly help with socialisation.
