A very interesting read. The fact that the Pit is not an exact breed particularly resonated with me. In fact it goes further with the "Type" predujice. In the closing paragraphs it says that each dog should be gauged by its temperament and not typified by the breed.

The story of Dexter was very interesting. A dog will always be a dog and put in certain situations it will react. We as owners have to manage these situations so that attacks do not happen. If we manage to do this, there will be a whole lot less in the press about type dogs, especially seeing as an awful lot of attacks aren't actually carried out by "Type" or Staffys.
