Puppy awake at 4am!
Hi, I have a 10 week old pup who seems to like being awake early, she's great at going to bed but seems to love being awake early hrs, not so much a problem for me as I work nights but not sure my wife is to impressed with being woken at 4am! I could hear her barking as I got out of the car this morning, any ideas on how to settle her? Thanks

Sounds like a normal pup to me What time does she get her last play time and toilet at night?

They are all like this in this age I think they wake up to go to toilet I wouldn't worry about it

Hi RoxysMum she has her last play between 9-10 pm and toilet just before bed, I think it maybe me coming in from work that disturbs her, although I try to be as quiet as possible! She has radar hearing

Most likely it is you coming in...she'll get used to it She's still just a curious pup

Should I try and settle her or just leave her to it

She will be waiting for you to greet her. You can't ignore her but after a kiss and cuddle tell her "back to bed now". Hope that works

Sounds right to me. Also you could take her out to use the toilet and maybe a short walk to tire her out so she will sleep
