half check collars (nylon with chain)
Hey
Just wondered what the best way to use these is and how its meant to work. Iv not had any experience with these.
Is a chest harness maybe better?
Its a clip at the back one she has

Re: half check collars (nylon with chain)
I use martingale collars that are similar. They have nylon straps instead of chain to attach the leads too. I prefer they 'cause they don't allow the dog to back out of the collar. When fitting them set them so that they just fit over the dogs head when chain is extended and that way the dog can't back out and run away.

Re: half check collars (nylon with chain)
I like these kind of collars they apply even pressure all around the dogs neck rather just the windpipe like other collars.
When using these collars its also good to keep them at the top of the dogs neck (don't get one big enough to slide all the dog to the bottom of the neck) again prevents pressure on the windpipe and much better for control.
