Hi from a Wanna-Be Staffy Owner
Hey there, my name is Adrian and I live in Kentucky with my three dogs; a golden, a BC and a sort-of-staffy--all rescues. Sometime in 2011 I'm looking to get a staffy puppy, so I'm hoping a can learn a lot more about the breed and maybe where/what to look for in my future puppy. I love training (especially clicker training) and am very very active in agility.
Here's a pic of my crew:
From left to right, Panic (4-year-old BC), Maxie (10-year-old staffy mix), and Toby (6-year-old golden).
Another picture of Maxie. I really think she's the cutest dog in the world.

Hi, welcome to the forum. You have 3 gorgeous dogs! They look very well trained in the pic, or is that deceptive?

Not necessarily. It depends on why the pup is so much smaller. Sometimes it's just that - small. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong & it could really catch up quickly with its siblings once it goes to its new home. Try to research the breeder as much as possible so that you can trust their advice on which pup to coose.
Sometimes the pup chooses itself!!

well im going on my experiences with choosing staffys from litters, and have been choosing staffs for people for many years and never had any complaints with my choices, and the runt always turns out to be a timid little fellow in my experience.

Re: Hi from a Wanna-Be Staffy Owner
Bandit was a 'runt'. But only because he was the smallest of the litter (one of them has to be), not because there was anything wrong with him. That's what I mean by WHY the pup is small. As it turned out he grew to be as big as his 2 brothers, with a better temperament & head, and was constructionally much more sound - good angulation etc.
