Raw food
When is a puppy not a puppy with a SBT.
I'm trying to work out the percentage of raw meat I should give our Lucy.
She is 9 month old and weighs 15kg
Do I stick to 6% as she is still growing or lower it a little ?

Re: Raw food
I would start with less and if she loses weight up it a bit as it's much easier to put weight on than to lose it! maybe go for 3/4% as a start? xx

Re: Raw food
Hi Sue, good to see another senior citizen on here. When is a puppy not a puppy? How long is a piece of string?
If, like me, Lucy is your first staff, prepare to be totally converted. I've had dogs all my life,GSDs Dobe,Yorkie, but never had a dog with so much personality or such an abundance of love to give. My wife thinks I'm a bit obsessed with Bacchus! Absolute nonsense of course......I'm TOTALLY obsessed with him.
I've found this site invaluable, especially in the early days as I had no idea what to expect with a staffy pup. Great advice freely given by people who care about our lovely breed.

Re: Raw food
P.S.
Glad to see you've gone down the raw route. To my shame, it took me 16 months to be convinced to make the move.

Lucky girl. I feed Natural Instinct complete raw and Bacchus favourite is chicken and tripe. The smelliest one of course.

Re: Raw food
It should be noted that the 6% is of his expected adult weight, not his current weight.
