i been thinking about my xena lately

i know she proablably wont be around for a lot longer maybe a year or year half ather most..

what can i do make her life happy? she cant walk a lot these days or be in pain for 2 weeks

Does she have a favorite game that you can play with her around the house?

Just keep her comfortable and lots of fuss (if she enjoys it) we thought the same after my parents dog had her second stroke age 11, she has since had a 3rd and is now 15 I think. I think Ledgers visits keep her going a bit she has to rule the roost and yet copies his behaviour a lot too

When Snoop had cancer i decided he could do as he pleased and eat what he wanted. I knew there was no cure for him and decided he would enjoy the time he had left to do as he pleased. Lots of cuddles and sleeping side by side and having more of his share of anything i was eating lol

my xena already overweight i would love to let her eat whatever

I don't need to tell you this but make sure you get loads of photos of her. Are you able to take her swimming at all ?, swimming is so much less stressful on the joints and I'm sure she would enjoy that. Do you have a vets nearby that does hydrotherapy ? Maybe worth popping in for a few sessions if you can.

Its hard to see them like that....before my staffy i had a bully who was 5 and a half when we had her put to sleep.....her first owners had her in a crate for 8 hours a day for 3 years so it was her joints that all went and her pelvis bones etc were knackered and the xrays were awful.
Just spoil her (more than usual) and enjoy the time you have together

Agree with above she needs your cuddles and time and to do anything she loves that she is still able to do. All things you Im sure you already do anyway

oh it must be hard for you to see her like this,long as she is in no pain all she wants is to be comfortable and all your love
