That is some growth. Unfortunately Staffies don't show pain very well, that makes us feel guilty because we didn't spot something earlier.
Would you like to send her Reiki? If so is that her photo as your avatar?

Poor Xena. Glad the operation went well and they have managed to stop the bleed anyhow. Lets hope the tests come back negative and she can take some time out to recover.

Great news. I take it they'll do a biopsy on the tumour? Hopefully it'll be benign.

I'm so glad the operation went OK and that she can get back home with you now hope the rest of it all goes well and that she makes a quick recovery. By the way, she's gorgeous; I've never seen you post any pics I don't think. You really should

Re: xena op is done
Don't apologise Steve.
Typing with "one hand", does that mean she is home with you now......
If so, you need to wind down from here now that you have let us all know the outcome and spend some precious time with your girl. Even if she is asleep and you can't cuddle her too well, she will feel and know your are there and this can only help her recovery.
I'm so pathetic I would be laying on the floor next to her

Steve wrote:i think she in pain she moaning a lot at the moment
She may be....., but you have to try and keep her settled. Forget about the forum for the rest of the day, the other admins etc will manage. She needs to know you are there and unfortunately you can't do much other than make her comfy.
What did the vet say to expect or look out for over the next 24 hours....hope you have written instructions

just phone up the vets because she crying a lot they cant give her anything else till tomoz poor girls
Re: xena op is done
Fantastic news Xena had the op, she'll soon be back to her normal delightful self.
Her moaning is down to the anesthetic, and shes still feeling groggy. The vets bound to of given her a long action pain killer jab just before you collected her.

Re: xena op is done
Just gently pat/stroke her and talk softly and soothingly to her till she settles again.
She may need to go to the "ladies" as they would have had her on a drip, or she may be a little thirsty.
The aneaesthetic may be wearing off now, so she may be a little more restless. If she however becomes really restless or seems agitated or puffing I think you should call the vet straight away.
It will probably be a long arvo and night. Sorry ><

Re: xena op is done
What did the vet tell you? Did they not tell you what to expect or what's normal? I'd give them a call just to make sure you know what is and isn't normal.

Steve wrote:she just been sick is that ok?
I know when Tilly came back after neutering they said she may be off her food and sickly etc just down to the anaesthetic , just keep an eye on her and give her a big hug from me , got Tilly by my side now giving her a fuss and thanking my lucky stars

Re: xena op is done
I had that with my first bitch after her spay. Sometimes it is due to them reacting to the meds. I'd call though if they didn't tell you to expect it or not to worry if it happened.
