New puppy; dry food what to put with it.
Hi all, getting our new puppy Bella next Friday she'll be 8 weeks, she's being fed on James wellbeloved ATM so I'm going to keep her on this and went to pets@home yesterday and got a big 15kg bag of fish and rice amongst other stuff like toys, bed, Create etc. pets@home loved us yesterday lol.
I've read on here that people put stuff with their kibble though so I was wondering what stuff you mix their kibble with and how many times I should give kibble plus mix a week?
I've only got a couple pictures ATM but I'll be sure to upload lots once she's here
Thanks, Greg.

I've not had a puppy and feed raw now but when I fed kibble I used jwb, I used to mix the wet pouches with the kibble, also tinned sardines and mackerel in either oil or tomatoes, scrambled egg, raw egg or cooked mince. Daisy wouldn't set the dry on its own so she had something mixed with every meal! Hope this helps xx

Unless its a fussy pup you shouldnt really need to add anything just yet, id wait two or three months yet.
If you want to give additional food its probably best to serve it outside the normal feeding times so they dont begin to expect it with every meal.
As for frequency, its a personal thing just make sure the weight is kept in check. My dogs have a set ammount of kibble each day based on average activity for a benchmark. if the day has been above average I suppliment.
Healthy treats i use are mashed sweet potato, raw eggs, sardines, raw minced beef, honey (in moderation) Turkey Breasts, Carrots and de-seeded apples (golden delicious, less acidic).

She is adorable Bane is fed raw now, but when he was on kibble, we fed him 4 times a day. If she gets on well with the kibble and happily eats it plain, then there is no need to add any extras but there is no harm in giving them as special treats Bane loves fish!
