Dogs, kids and a silly mum!
Just thought I’d share this… my niece is really annoying! She has two young children, 6 months and 3 years. She is always telling me that ‘you shouldn’t have got a dog like that it will do so much damage to someone’ blah blah. I’ve given up telling her that Staff’s are great with kids, and no matter what dog, you should never leave kids unattended etc.
Anyway, she was round the in law’s the other day and my father in law has a Jack Russell. I’ve never particularly warmed to it which is unusual for me with dogs. It’s very possessive over my father in law and gets really jealous. I’ve always said that it’s a recipe for disaster.
Cut a long story short, she thinks its fine to leave the 3 year old with the Jack Russell and guess what – it went for him. Badly bit him on the face and drew blood. What a terrible thing to happen to the child just because the mum is stupid. No one knows exactly what happened because the child was on its own in the room with the dog. I hope this doesn’t make him fearful of dogs from now on.

Oh how awful for the little one and how extremely irresponsible of his mother and protector to be so stupid!!! It could have been much much worse

Sorry to offend anyone but that is quite an irresponsible thing to do, would never leave any child alone with any dog.

unbelieviable never should any child or any dog be left alone together! children need to be taught how to behave around dogs my 11 year old is not allowed to be alone with my dogs! i know a staffy or the bigger the dog the more damage they can cause but a jack russell (TERRIER) can still inflict terrible damage to a child ,hope not to serious what about the dog involved very touchy situation to be in all round

My brother always has rotties, the one he has now is a rescue. The rottie rescue lady said that one had to be pts because it had bitten a child, after a post mortem it showed the child had stabbed it with a knitting needle Not many dogs bite for no reason
