Debo's back from his holiday.
We spent the last week in Northern Ireland, we couldn't take Debo with us but we found him a nice place to stay. The lady who run the place promised us to send lots of pics and updates. And she did. Debo had his own room, played with Winny, the Lab adn Greg, mix. They took Debo for a long walks every day. When we dropped him off, we stayed for a while, then my OH took him to his room and without goodbye, we left him there. I could stoped thinking about Debo. Checked my email everyday. But he was fine, he ate fine, only problem she had with Debo was his crying after she locked him for a night . And sometimes at day time. Sometimes I had the feeling that she was complaining about it, saying " I don't know why he's crying, he has everything?" Is it simple? He was left in strange place for the first time and cried only when was left alone. He loves people, that's all. But over all I'm happy with the service. When we got there to pick him up, he was supprised to see us, few kisses, tail wagging and he was off to play with other dogs, like we left him just for few hours not 5 days. So I know he was happy there. And back at home he "helped us unpacked and went to " his bedroom" for a sleep. I think it was only mummy who was worrying and missed her baby a lot! Now I have him back. Oh, there was another problem, the lady said that Debo was humping all the females there . And she thinks that this behaviour and his ADHD is down to him not being done. Is it?

Aww so glad you are back with Debo glad he was ok at his holiday home. Humping from not being done I don't think so a lot of it can be a dominance thing and not sexual at all

Thank you Inez Maria. He is a dominate dog, if male try to hump him, Debo will show him teeth. But he won't harm female, she can growl, bite etc he won't touch her. So maybe humping females it's his other way of dominace?

Re: Debo's back from his holiday.
why did you decide Northern Ireland? it wouldn't my first choice to live
Re: Debo's back from his holiday.
Sounds like he was fine. Flo sulks with me when I've been away, she will be all happy at first tail wagging, kisses and dancing about when i get back but then she gives me the Staffy cold shoulder for at least an hour
I agree with Inez above, most humping is dominance in my opinion having seen this with females as much as males.

Janey, we are still in Poland, we went for holiday to NI and left Debo in hotel in Poland. My OH is going on 11th May. He will come back for us by the end of summer, maybe earlier. But I'm really exited now. I know NI is nothing like UK but the week there showed me how much I've missed UK.

Sounds like Debo was OK most of time while you were away but just needed some company at night, no surprises there. Glad you had a good time, any pics of your holiday ?

No pics, sorry. We visited my OH's family and most of the time we spent in the house eating and drinking, shopping. Now I have to wear bigger jeans because week of eatin and doing nothing paid off.
