dry food recomendations - Puppy food Empty Puppy food

Post by Highlands-Brody Wed Apr 23 2014, 09:29

Hi guys, I had a post up the other day saying I got a new gorgeous pup but when I went to edit it I ended up deleting it(stupid iPhones) lol and now I can't get on to my photo bucket to get the pics back up but ill get them posted asap.

Now my pups mum is French mastiff and dad is American bulldog X staffy.the man said the previous pups gree to around 18-19inches to shoulder and close to 30kg.
I'm feeding him large breed puppy food but is this correct?couldnt I use normal puppy food? And once she goes onto adult food does it still have to be large breed food even when he's stopped growing?

Thanks

I'm not really sure, I've only ever fed a standard dry food (suitable for all) and now I feed raw. Sure others will be able to advise xx

IMHO branded food is a marketing pun. Feed what suits - the amount that suits - so you have a healthy dog. Xx

When Bane was on dry, he was on a medium breed food I think but we have since switched to raw. I would imagine as long as they are getting enough to allow them to grow, there shouldn't be a problem?

All food is the same. Puppy food was an after thought. Can't remember off the top of my head but the first puppy food was a few years after 'normal' food Smile I feed raw though and I don't feed puppy raw Smile)
