Any idea what this is?
Biscuit came up with this lump about a week ago now, I thought it was an insect bite as she's practically living out in the garden at the moment whilst it's sunny! She likes to sleep in the flower beds so lots of spiders and other creepy crawlies are crawling all over! But it's not going away, it's kinda hard too. Tried giving it a squeeze but she gave me "that" look, so i've left it alone since Excuse her big mama niplets too, they're always in the way! I'm scared that she has eggs planted in her skin

I'm not sure, like you say bites would be the obvious thing. Have you tried giving her a piriton?

Re: Any idea what this is?
Hey! Yeah she's been on piriton for a few weeks anyway as the spring grass is making her skin a bit sore. Just thought it would have gone away by now if it was a bite! I can't see any puncture holes but they may be minute! Doesn't seem to be bothering her, I just tend to panic when lumps appear

Re: Any idea what this is?
It's more than likely a fatty lump. Keep an eye on it and if it gets bigger or looks sore then it's a vet visit to be safe, though if your really concerned take her sooner.

Re: Any idea what this is?
I hope so! It just appeared overnight which is what made me think it was a bite. Her cancerous tumours started out as tiny little black marks and grew extremely fast over a course of a few weeks, so it's different to them. Looks a bit warty in texture, kinda gross lol bless her! She's meeting with a new vet in the next few weeks to see if she's comfortable with him handling her anyway, so will get him to take a look Thanks!!

Oo dear poor biscuit, in view of her history you must be worried to bits, best safe than sorry if it doesn't clear soon, just to put your mind at rest if nothing else, hope she likes her new vet

Re: Any idea what this is?
Do you think it might be a splinter stuck in there? That would cause the same symptoms, but they won't go if there's a foreign body in it. I hope you get to the bottom of it soon for biscuit xx

I would tend to get it checked out by the vet, I do worry about everything though although I have been told not too

Re: Any idea what this is?
Thanks for the replies, it's not going away and seems to be growing so booked in her for a fine needle aspiration tomorrow to be on the safe side. Will decide on surgery after the results. Don't think she's going to like the new vet much after that!!! Wish us luck

Re: Any idea what this is?
Just gotten back, he wants to leave it alone for now and monitor it for a month. Could be a tumour, could be a cyst, could be a fatty lump. But unless it changes in texture or colour he thinks it's best not to mess around with it. Really great vet though, Biscuit loved him xx
