hate having a cold

Thought I was fighting it off but coughing lots this morning and feeling rubbish. And I've been dosing on Vitamin C!

What are your best home remedies?

honey, ginger, lemon, jack d in hot water

Ummm... just a vitamin c tablet

And I've upped my fruit intake too - made a yummy banana/pear/flaxseed/honey smoothie for breakfast

look for vitamin c 500g with bioflavonoids

*going to check container*   

It says 500mg but nothing about bioflavonoids - will have to go shopping later

Thank you! I'll look for something similar. I did take antihistamines when it first started too but they just make me zombie-like for the day and I wasn't getting work done x

Vicks Vapo rub and sit in a sauna with a towel over your head. Souns silly I know but works for me.

Always helps to sweat it out. The Vapo rub will clear up the congestion and help with the coughing as well. Hope you feel better soon

Ginger is natures disinfectant and will kill any bugs you may have.

Agree on the whiskey    I'm not a fan of ginger either but it is good for you

Argh, guess it was all sweating out last night! Coughed all night and kept us all up but hopefully that's it broken. I'm exhausted.
