Re: walking a puppy
My rule of thumb I used was 5 mins for each month. So your lil one can be walked about 20/25 mins.
You dont want to stress her joints or her little heart too much.
Any pics to share??

Hi Neil, maybe you could come and introduce yourself

Been such a long time since I had a pup! If your lead walking at that age I wouldn't do much more than 15/20 mins twice a day, but off lead different and make sure you do a lot of mind training - really tires them out

Re: walking a puppy
We tried to stick to the 5 mins per month of age but it depended on the exercise. For example we would take Bane to the park, about 3 minute lead walk and then be there for 30 minutes and 3 minute walk back. During the 30 minutes he would be doing all sorts of things, including training and rolling around so not constant exercise, hence why we allowed him out for longer.

Re: walking a puppy
The 5 minute rule is a safe guideline. Off lead running around on grass doesn't count. Mental games and training will also help the energy level

Re: walking a puppy
We walk Lula for about 20-30 minutes at a time. we have recently just added another walk so she now has 3 walks a day. The back door is open most of the day for her to play outside and we play with her as well.
