Student Loans etc
Bloody hell! Just been helping my son apply for student loans etc for the coming year - I mean, could they make it any more difficult?
He's been told at school that he should receive a bursary (non-repayable), but there's nowhere online that says this. He was also told that I would need my financial details to support his application, but the site won't let me link to his UCAS account!
I've applied for a tuition fee loan for him & a maintenance loan, and they seem to have been submitted ok, but what about my income? AAAAGGGGHHHHH!

You're telling me! You need a degree in Government-speak to even fill out the application!
Then, it says click here for questions etc & then says "Our site is off line at the moment" or something like that!

Hmmmm, then I've got my son saying "But I'm sure they said this" and "I'm sure they said that!"
He'll have to speak to the school adviser & ask their opinion - I don't know where to turn to get advice!

not sure bout down south but up here you get a bursery if your are 18 + , the amount is dependant on parents income if living with them , if under 18 you get ema education maintanance allowance which is a pitance + travel expenses , you dont get bursery on a pt course only full time 18+ hours pw

Re: Student Loans etc
The bursary should be done through the university, Not through his application for student finance. That will get sorted once his accepted into university and starts his first term.
But i feel your pain, and look forward to reapplying each year aswell, um currently doin it for the third time. yay.
