Balls,Balls and more balls
I have a new addition to the family Zac, he is 2 years old and a great companion, however when we take him out, he becomes quite manic, when he does not have a ball, jumps up,nips and circles you almost tripping you up!! When you put him on the lead ,he bites and pulls , in the end you give up and let him have the lead....... When he has a ball is as good as gold..... When he hasn't got a ball he is a nightmare...... Could anyone please help me get Zac to be able to play without a ball

Re: Balls,Balls and more balls
i know a couple of friends that dogs are completely "crazy" over balls will ask them their advise! i know one just hides ball out of site and "smell" or it drives her crazy dog becomes stressed by the ball to which obviously isnt healthy for dog or owner!!! ween him off slowly is all i can think of at mo short lead walks without a ball training treats for positive behaviour short lead and dont go to far awy from home from my experience persistance and not giving in work but its a slow painful process that needs to keep being enforced! all dogs are so different like people some are more crazy than others!!

Re: Balls,Balls and more balls
Sounds like he's just mega excited to be out and doesn't know how to behave yet. With training he should get better, I will find some links for you (computer being funny so I have to post them separately!) Rach is very good with training and behaviour issues so may have some good advise
