A great day for Ledger

Just the two dogs in flyball today and the other Indy was a bit out of sorts, it had a go at Ledger a few weeks ago and Ledger told him off they have been to class together since but today he just wasn't interested wouldn't even go to his owner when called just lay at the far side of the arena

Either way Ledger had a great session he is starting to drive away a bit quicker and every run he brought the tennis ball and dropped it right at my feet

We then stayed on as the trainer was holding a reactive dog workshop, tbh ledger was one of the calmer in the class probably because he was tired but it was an hour with us working in a corner on different obstacles or walking round the arena just working on keeping your dogs focus. Back to basics for sure but certainly something you take for granted when you get into the daily walk it hadn't even really dawned on me that I rarely take treats out on the 'wee walks' so I'm not consistantly reinforcing his good behaviour

Wish my Flo was a little younger... I would have loved to do this sort of thing with her... Sounds like you have a lot of fun.

Give it a go Ian flyball is very low jumps so not massively stressful on them our local club do taster nights spending time just working on turning on the box then just doing recall over the run of 4 jumps and only bringing it together when the dog is ready. Some will only ever plod along the course but otherwise each team has to have a non collie and the jumps are set for the shortest dog so staffys are quite handy in that respect
