Lovely time

at the pub on sunday. We walked up the canal to a canal side pub, our son and friend was there, so we joined them in the lovely dog friendly garden (you allowed in the pub too with dogs, very dog friendly) . There was one couple there with those small white scottish terriers, it kept trying to attack any dog that walked pass it. I didnt know it was there as we made our way to a table, the idiot hadnt kept his dog on a short leash, it was on a flexi lead and not locked, just missed attacking Pixee, as I pulled her out of harms way, while the bloke was in a panic, his dog went for Pixee again, and this time, Pixee went to have a go at it   , a firm 'no' command, me pulling her away to the table calmed her down. In no time at all, she was calm, and let off the lead, (Where we were sat, the canal was next to us, we had a good view of all dogs about, and Pixee is the sort to stay around us, she is very well behaved at pubs. We had fun drinking, talking, and watching that dog try to attack any dog still! When the sun went down, we went inside the pub, found a nice spot so Pixee could stay off lead, and to our suprise, seriously, she went up to people for the first time for fuss! Never has she done that before, shes always been wary of strangers. Although she has got better, this is another step forward for Pixee. We shared a Pizza with Pixee too   . Some 6 hours later, we headed home back down the canal.

Well done Pixie, sounds like that was a well deserved Pizza. Flexi leads are great but still have to be used correctly.

Thanks all, it was lovely and yes Pixee is doing well, real proud of her. And yes, pictures next time. I had left my mobile phone at home on charge, could have kicked mysefl!
