Re: vets in an hour
she's kept in to have an x-ray ,, vet felt a hard lump near her back end , possibly a bone or the like , she's getting hydrated and being givin a bowl loosner to see if she can pass it herself , operation last resort , hope the x-ray doesn't throw anything further up her digestive track .
just waiting on phone call back from vets now
poor wee soul
she has lost 1kg in weight

Re: vets in an hour
Oh dear.......yeah, that's the only trouble with bones, the risk of getting lodged and causing issues like you have now. It's something I think about every time I give Roxy a bone but she LOVES her bones and it keeps her mouth busy doing something that is allowed. I s'pose there's always a risk, but theire are risks with many day to day activities. Hmmmmmm

Re: vets in an hour
So glad she's home again! Poor girl, bet she's glad, too!
Thank god for insurance!
That's why I don't give the big bones, just the softer bones which disolve easily in the stomach.
I bet Shady's pleased she's home!
