Orijen and raw chicken
Hi, I've just joined the forum, I have a 8 year old brindle staffy. I have a question that I'm sure has been Answered 100 times already sorry.
I've just decided to put Brody on Orijen adult food, I do often give him some cooked chicken but now after looking on this forum it looks like I can add a raw chicken breast from a superrmarket to his dry food as a treat? I just want to make sure this is defo ok lol.

Welcome to the forum, do come and say hi here

You can feed raw chicken as a treat but not with the dry and they have different digestion times so would cause an upset tum! Make sure you feed them a good few hours apart

Re: Orijen and raw chicken
Is chicken legs etc from asda just as good as proper places making raw food for dogs?

Re: Orijen and raw chicken
Is it best to freeze the chicken first before I let him eat it, or can he eat it straight from the shop

Re: Orijen and raw chicken
Yeah you can feed them straight away or freeze for later. You can then feed frozen or defrosted

Re: Orijen and raw chicken
Here he is tucking into his first raw chicken thigh, he didn't chew the bones and much as I would have liked but he loved it. Thanks everyone

Re: Orijen and raw chicken
Aw he looks great!
Haha Bane is also very optimistic with his lack of chewing and will often try to swallow bits that are clearly too large, only to cough it straight back up and try again Quite comical to watch but they soon get used to it
