Brother and sister Empty Brother and sister

Post by naz Sun Mar 02 2014, 17:44

Hello we have two Staffy puppies and they are brother and sister from the same litter, is it advisable to keep them together even if we get the female spade?
Many Thanks
Naz

Not much experience in this but I think sometimes pups from same litter can maybe have some sibling rivalry. Probably best to get the girl spayed at some point but if first season arises then yes best to keep them apart  Smile

Keeping siblings together can cause issues but not necessarily, lots of training and socialising with other dogs would be needed to ensure acceptable behaviour is achieved and maintained.

wouldn't worry about "sibling rivalry" they are dogs not people they don't know they are related. get one or both nuetered and stop any fighting straight away and they will be fine.
