Hello my name is Star.

I have been described as a gorgeous very traditional barrel shaped staffy...I am not sure that is a compliment or not!.

I have also been described ,at the grand age of 12 and a half, as a bit of a grumpy old lady, stubborn and knowing what I want,but if you are like me and know your own mind I am sure we will get along famously.

That said I totally love people and will lap up attention
and I will form a very strong protective bond
with you if you can love me?

In my home at the moment I am struggling to deal with the excitement of a new baby in the home and would much prefer to live without young children.

If you have children visiting I would be happy to be put somewhere quiet for a few hours away from them but I would definitely prefer a home without them.

Unfortunately I am spending lots of time shut away at the moment due to youngsters everywhere
and it's all getting a bit much for me
and I am very unhappy.

I would really like a new home where I can relax and live out my retirement days in peace and quiet.

I dont like dogs or cats and well if I am honest I would prefer a home where I can be the only grumpy old pet!

I am great on the lead a
nd only need small walks these days.
I am a bit wobbly but only what you would expect
from an older lady like me.

I do have an ongoing ear condition which is being investigated by Senior Staffy Club
and they are talking to those vet type people about it.
They say they will have more details to tell you soon
but if required they can help with some
of that money stuff to help you with this
when I come to live with you.

I know I am no longer a cute puppy but I am loyal and loving,
I will shower you in kisses and cuddles when we first meet....

But then I will be happy to cuddle up on my bed and go back to sleep.

Star is speyed, vaccinated and microchipped .
She is currently in the Birmingham area but can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit.
However any adopter should be willing to travel and meet Star where she is now.

Under the Matchmaker Scheme we only ask for a donation of your choice should you wish to adopt Star this is to assist us in continuing our work with other Senior Staffys who come to us as strays and have no one to care for them whilst they find a new home.

That brings tears to my eyes, why oh why, do those lovely old ones have to end up being rehomed. I would take you on, but for Pixee and hubby. Pixee is a resuce and very much a dog that likes to be just her in her home. Hope you find a forever home Star, you sound just like Pixee, stubborn too!

Its very sad we have quite a few in this position, i have no idea how they can give up it would kill me

After getting in a behaviorist the owners are now keeping Star we are very happy to hear this.

I've moved to the rehomed section star because although your now staying with your family I feel things are going to be new for you, good luck lil lady
