My poorly little lady!
Came down this morning to find my little girl unable to open her eye :(and all swollen up filled with gunk. And the other eye a little swollen.
We got to the vets this morning and she was an absolute star. Local anaesthetic in her eye and then our vet looked into it to check that nothing was stuck behind her third eyelid. Molly didn't even whine, she just looked miserable, poor little thing.
As a mini rant off topic... there was a woman in the waiting room who was clearly looking down on my beautiful girl (she owned a designer cross breed ratty thing) saying that 'you have to be knowledgable to raise those bull breeds as they're vicious dogs'. Our vets were brilliant. They rallied round saying staffs are great dogs and Molly is one of the best dogs they know. The woman then asked if she could stroke her so I said yep she's incredibly friendly. Cue my one eyed girl wagging her tail and being stroked (nice to see the womans shock... a friendly staffy! ). Molly has such an amazing temperament - don't know if I'd be so good if I had her eye condition. I was such a proud mamma
Turns out that she has a really bad case of conjunctivitis. We're on drops now and anti-inflammatories.
I love love love my girl

Re: My poorly little lady!
Poor girly. I have had conjunctivitis myself and its pretty miserable.
One good thing is that the ointment/drops works on it pretty quickly.
Hope she gets better very soon and well done for being such a little

I'm sure Molly eyes will be fine once the drops start to work, well done for being such a big brave girl and a great ambassador for the breed, you may have changed another persons view of them
