Hitting my head against a brick wall

Sorry guys just need a bit of a rant

Just got off the phone to my mum and I mentioned packing up the left over kibble and taking it to a rescue centre and how much Ledger had enjoyed his chicken quarters today and then it began the lecture about salmonella that all our lives we have been taught to cook chicken properly before eating it blah blah blah there was no explaining to her that dogs arent human and therefore have different immunities and tollerance levels, let alone go into anything else then the conversation ended with mum saying "when Ledger dies I will say I told you so"   

I was dumbfounded and hung up

I have had the same from my folks but they are starting to get it now!, Its been about 5 months!

Though they were having kittens on Sunday when they saw Daisy eat a raw chicken wing!!

Yeah I was going to be nice on Sunday and keep to chicken mince but might now take the chicken carcass I chopped up today (bought a whole chicken £2.99, took the two huge breast fillets and legs off for me and quartered the rest for Ledger)

They will get used to it! I have to just take mince to theirs because they have other dogs and don't want them fighting over a bone!

I'm lucky, my dad feeds raw to all of his and my mum is a veggie and doesn't have much of a clue so takes what I say as gospel! Don't let it get to you, she'll soon see the benefits i'm sure

I had quite a bit of this from my mum when I told her about changing Bane over. She knew best for the situation and thought she was helping out. Just don't let it get you down or stress you out! She will soon see how great he is getting on with it!

Ai I'm all armed up with my salmonella arguments for tomorrow come Monday we can start with other meats than just chicken anyway

No one's ever questioned and i've purposely fed my mum and mommas dogs chicken wings to spite them

Ai convinced mum thinks the meat is dragged out of the bins from an eastern European abattoir or something

Joke is its probably better quality than the meat in the frozen lasagnes she eats

she'll come round!

I'm sure she'll get there in the end it can just take time. Xx

Haha, don't they have a certain level of Salmonella on their tongues anyway?

Well got back after work the first comment 'he doesn't fart anymore'   Followed by he's a bit calmer too
