Panicking D: Empty Panicking D:

Hi guys, I'm really worried, blue has had some light spots in his coat, we thought it was just the way the light hit him, but I just checked him over and he has a few little bald-ish spots, about 1 1/2 centimeters each, and there's about 4 of them, on his left side on his body. The skin is a bit dryer than the rest and flaky, but not sore looking, and he isnt scratching or fussed if we touch it :s Kinda having a panic attack as I haven't got him insured yet Sad I recently bathed him with a small amount of baby shampoo but I rinsed him three times after, could that be it? =[

It could be that Hun but it could also be other things, have you seen your vet about it?

Prob best to see a vets. I no your worry about being uninsured but it could be something simple, could be demodex which is easily treated.

Try not to worry, they'll hopefully do skin scrapes for demodex, to rule it out. Can I ask what colour are his parents? Smile

I can imagine how you're feeling but think positive, it may be perfectly treatable, just nip him down to the vets when you get a mo. Good luck and keep us posted !

Safiyah - blue Staffies often have variations in their coats, so please try not to panic.

However, Hayley's question about the colour of Blue's parents is very relevant. If you feel like letting us know we may be able to help further, but please be aware that your vet is very likely to ask the same question - it is important.

Do please let us know how you get on.

Hi guys, lost internet for a while so I couldn't update. blue had a check up and his patches just cleared up on there own within a few days of posting this... hasnt had any problems whatsoever since and the vet said it was probably due to the food change and the baby shampoo ^_^
