Hey everyone Smile

How are you all?

Just come for some advice really as Otis seems to have gone very picky with his food. He is on Arden Grange and has been since he was a puppy.

Over the past couple of days he seems to be quite slow when eating his food or not bothered at all and just eating bits then maybe going back hours later and having what is left in the bowl. This evening he wasn't interested in his kong wobble and he normally loves that.

I am thinking is it a case of he is bored with his food. He never gets any of our food though.
He was castrated over Christmas so could it be his hormones changing?
Or could he be under the weather I had to take him to the vets to have his stitches removed because they were starting to cause inflammation.

Just concerned because he normally loves his food...

Any tips greatly received Smile

He could be bored with the food or maybe feeling a little ill. Is he drinking normally and still wanting to exercise?

I do think they get bored, but they also won't let themselves starve. You have a few options, stick it out (I couldn't do that as I like to no she eats), change foods (may work for a short time but with dry feed I think they do get bored), or mix it with say sardines/raw egg, I personally use a can of wet and mix in a really small amount but Moo loves it.

Agreed try mixing in some other things to make it a bit more appetising, scrambled egg, sardines etc.

Dogs are like humans, well our staffies are, they like different food or just food that is not dry. If you dont want to give human food, I do, theres Wainwrights trays, which comes in 4 favs, they are in between, not dry, but not wet. A few of us on here uses this.

Pixee always gets some of our food after her own tea, as a treat.
