tough toys (whats the best)
hey so through my work etc dogs toys durability always comes up.
its funny how a toy can be mega tough for a staffy or lab but a spaniel can get through it.
iv tried loads of toys with the diva and soft toys get ripped so quickly but the hard ones bore her lol.
has anyone tried grubbers or toughys (octopus.shark.boomerang etc)??
any other good toys?
mine adores her stagbar

Tug ropes here too, she had a boomer ball but won't play with it. This is also a favorite and not chewed yet!

Re: tough toys (whats the best)
The things that have lasted the longest for me are:
1) Stagbar - get a new one approx every 2/3 months
2) Chuck it balls from amazon - great to play with and Zeus has a good go at them, one of them lasted almost a year.
But the best and cheapest by far is a coconut. We take the hairy stuff off and pierce a whole to get the milk out and leave it with Zeus. He loves playing around and chewing it.. best 50p I've spent!

Re: tough toys (whats the best)
Chico's favourite toy of all time is his boomer ball. He goes crazy for it! His 2nd is squeaky tennis balls and then it's ropes. He just shreds them but has great fun. I buy him ones out of wisebuys, it's just a huge ball of rope, takes him a while to get through it as well I got him a stag bar but he's barely touched it! And he wasn't keen on the coconut either! Too fussy lol

Kong lol. With a little cheese, Red Leicester does the trick, keeps banes occupied for hours. Were also in the process of putting treat in a plastic coke bottle and freezing it, I'll let you know how it goes

safestix! Peppas had hers since jul/aug and its still in one piece. Kongs in general tbh are quite good durability wise.

Re: tough toys (whats the best)
The extreme kong (bloody expensive) and safestix lasted about 20 minutes with Zeus lol, he chewed them both into little pieces. Also, I would be careful with using a plastic coke bottle, it's ok if they're just trying to lick a treat out of it but if they start going at the bottle, they're in danger of sharp pieces getting stuck in their gums or worse yet, swallowing a piece.
I used to play with plastic bottles with Zeus but learnt the hard way when he cut his gum on one.. Luckily, it wasn't so bad and it healed but never went near one since.

Stag bars are the only things that have lasted for us. Ropes are okay but she destroys them pretty quick.

Re: tough toys (whats the best)
Tallulah had a few toys the pink squeaky bones lasted about 2 weeks. The two balls she started pulling pieces of them so we took them of her. The squeaky hot dog she likes and is still doing well.
The puppy kong she really goes at but is holding up well.
The kong squiggly she loves but has pulled a few threads out.
I`m going to get her the kong wubba and she how she likes that
