Well Vinnie has health tested parents and came with papers, though didn't know til coming here blue on blue matings are not good.
I have been lucky so far with him and I paid £650 for Vinnie.  Big Grin

Do be careful as this can cause CDA as Hayley has said. I didn't know any of this at the time of getting Vin but as said guess I have been lucky.
This link is pics of Vin from pup to now but don't go by him as again a lucky one so far  Big Grin

you won't tell from looking at the parents, the gene comes from mating two blue parents together

I strongly recommended you don't buy a pup from a blue blue mating as you won't know if CDA is present for months, very cute pup but can you watch him suffer if he gets CDA. Xx

no I wouldn't want to see that at all , ill look at both parents tomorrow and make my mind up .
it seems to be a hit and miss subject anyway , a lot of breeds have it , where it could develop

It seems that you have already made up your mind, despite these guy's best advice. But the others are right, you won't know anything from simply looking at the parents so really you're just playing russian roulette in regards to health problems. Understand that it's exciting but there's no need to rush! A good non blue/blue litter will come along at some point soon i'm sure. I've only seen blues with problems in rescue, and they have been coming in by the bucket load Sad Of course, there are probably just as many healthy happy ones in loving homes, but I wouldn't risk it personally, and shame on the breeders for doing so. They're gorgeous dogs and I can see the appeal, but only from a decent, well researched breeding.

Glad to hear that you decided against, do hope the pups are homed properly though. I tend not to get involved in breeding, but there is a "breeders chat" section on the forum where I'd imagine you'll get more advice Smile
