We are supposed to have something very similar happening here too Lisa, although I have never seen or heard of it where I live, I would have no doubt it is happening though.

I'd imagine it to be common sadly

In the rural parts where we live they use plastic or cans to point out what houses are burglar able. So I got this paranoia of picking rubbish when we walk.

Tip thinks I'm a bit of a mad hat or atleast it looks like that when I do and she looks at me.

Sounds like you are being very responsible Nicky this is an issue that seems to be global   

I've heard of something similar here too

We have a decent neighborhood watch but it pays to be vigilent and responsible. Our major issue where we live is stock theft more than burglaries.

If everone do their bit we can all sleep better at night. Security ISN'T just the police force's responsibility but neighborhood's aswell.

Thanks Katy. The other reason for picking up rubbish is so cows and horses don't eat the plastic.
