Toys for Staffies
I know there was a previous thread about this but I can't find it.
We bought these toys today. Sophie is a six month old staffie. The first one lasted her ten minutes and the second just over two. I wouldn't have been so cross if they hadn't been advertised as extreme toys for dogs.
They don't seem to appear on the Pets at Home website but I found one on this site
http://www.k9capers.com/shop/proddetail.asp?prod=24943
Happy Pet Products Ltd - Dog Toys Nylon - Extreme Fitness Tugger Toy 15cm
The other was Ruff and Tuff rope and nylon tugger produced for pets at home.

Re: Toys for Staffies
I brought one of their products. The Extreme Medicine Ball.
It lasted a little while, but Prince managed to pull at the seams and started to pull the filling out.
So far, the only toy Prince hasn't destroyed is a rope thing that we brought.
Probably because he doesn't play with it much. I'll grab the ends of each knot and play tug of war with him.
This is similar to what I got, but ours more tiger colours.

Re: Toys for Staffies
Saxon has yet to destroy his Everlasting Treat Ball, his Orbee Tough Diamond Plate or Orbee Tough ball on a rope (though he did get the rope and continents off of it). Everything else has been demolished.

Re: Toys for Staffies
I have bought a Ruff & Tuff toy and it only lasted a few hours. The only thing Kuta has been unable to distroy is his Kong and his big red Staffy Ball, which he LOVES! It cost nearly $100AUD, but he's had it now over a year and apart from some very deep scratches, its still going strong.

Re: Toys for Staffies
have you tried bubbles? they keep woody going for ages, however i have to stand blowing them for him to chase as i darent invest in the bubble machine as its plastic and he would probably just eat that and not the bubbles! thye have flavoured ones for added interest!

My girls are super-destructive. The only things they havnt broken are the extreme kongs and the extreme kong balls (the black rubber). Those rope things are quite good aswell, until they manage to unknot one of the knots and start pulling it out in strands.

Re: Toys for Staffies
the only thing the alf hasn't managed to destroy out of all his many many toys is a blue rubber bone covered in little spikes, mint scented that was found in a bargain bin in tkmax by the in laws, he chews it everyday without fail and has only realy ripped about 5% of it off, he did get the plastic tube out of the middle that made a noise but as soon as he exposed it i pulled it out because i know he would have concentrated all his effort into destroying it ! he chews it for so long he gets tired and out of breath and his head and jaw muscles are bulging like fun

Yeah, I think they are the samme things. Here in Australia they are called Staffy Balls, but I think from looking at the picture of the two, they are the same thing.
I recomend everyone with a Staffy get one, they are well worth it and last forever.

Re: Toys for Staffies
bubbles are great and you can get bacon flavour ones for dogs the bubble machines are cheap enough too to stop you hyperventilating when the dog want sto play LOL well the only thing lemmy seems to go through a lot of are balls. he loves playing with rugby balls and footbals but keeps bursting them. his soft toys are intact except tigger is minus a leg. his tennis balls are minus the furry shell and he doesnt play tug games so all those toys are intact.

Those Staffy balls look pretty good, might look into getting one for Jimi. We've bought him loads of toys but his favourite is one of my old boots lol.

Well I've just ordered a Boomer Ball for Rommel on your recommendations - at the minute he's not destructive with his toys but then again he is only 11 weeks old so I'm sure that time will come soon enough and I will be prepared

Re: Toys for Staffies
With our last Staffie the only thing she couldn't demolish was a Kong. That said, she wasn't keen on playing with it so......
Need some toys for our baby lad now! He loves playing tug so I think something to fight with

Re: Toys for Staffies
The only thing Tinkerbell will play with is a tug toy, ball on a knotted rope which we bought from the pound shop and as of yet it hasn't been destroyed. She doesn't chew things at all, she will shake the tug toy but that's as far as the destruction goes, she is too lazy to actually ave a proper go at it.
