A couple of suggestions.
I was looking around the pet shop the other day for toys and I came across the 'Happy Pet Extreme Medicine Ball'
A bit pricey at about £8 ish. But It has lasted almost a week and it looks almost new!
I just stole a pic off Amazon to show you all and they say, get a medicine ball, a speed-ball rope and some dog rope ball thing for £20.02. I think its free postage as well. So that's not bad for 3 hard wearing toys.
The ball itself is about 7 inches big and has quite a large weave fabric compared to normal fabrics. So when your dog bites down, his/her teeth just push between the weaves. I would say its slightly heavier than a football.
Anyway, here is a pic of the ball.
I have also been given a dog water bottle. It says on the bottle 'H2O TO GO!'
Its basically a water bottle and drinking bowl in one. Absolutely brilliant idea and Prince loves it.
You unscrew the bottle to fill it up then screw it back into the special top and fold it up. When your dog needs water, just flick out the outer case (drinking bowl), squeeze the bottle and out comes some nice fresh water.
The special top stops water from just poring out and you have to squeeze the bottle to get some water.

Re: A couple of suggestions.
Dempsey's such a chewer that a ball like that wouldn't last long at all. He'd worry at it until he got a grip & then it would gradually disappear down his gullet!
I've got one of those water bottle/bowl, and although it's good, Dempsey's really fussy about drinking outside so he won't touch it!

Re: A couple of suggestions.
Prince has tried chewing at it, but hasn't got very far. It only comes out when its play time on the field. He will run after it or run with it in his mouth.
The bottle is great. Prince knew what it was straight away. Its not leaked yet, but I always put it in the bag standing up, or I'll clip it to my belt.

Re: A couple of suggestions.
I'll see if I can put up a video later on with Prince playing with the ball and having a drink.
I really do like the idea of the bottle though because you don't need a separate bowl.
I did originally cup my hand under a normal bottle of water (with the pop open tops) and Prince would drink from my hand. Only problem is, your left with a wet slobbery hand

I know that, can't be bothered sometimes to carry her water and mine as there is a campsite 'thing' with water where we walk so I get a slobbery hand too

They're very good at destroying things, aren't they?
I've ordered a Running Egg, we'll see if Dempsey can destroy it! http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/dogs/dog_toys_dog_training/balls_dog_toys/146803

Re: A couple of suggestions.
Yea, tell me about it. I was quite surprised really. The idea with the large weave material is good. Its how its put together that is bad. Prince pulled at one of the blue bits and that was it.
I have been thinking about using Kevlar material. I have used the stuff for fire toys. Its used in a lot of other things like padding for motorcycle racing suits and bullet proof and stab proof vests...
It is a real pain to cut with scissors. You need specially made sheers to cut it and some of the Kevlar fabrics are as soft as a normal fleece.
I have seen those running eggs. Its just an egg shaped boomer ball, isn't it?
Its ok Janey. I'm still on the hunt for 'The indestructible staffy toy' I'm sure its out there somewhere.

Basically, yes. Dempsey likes his boomer ball, but he gets a bit bored with it after a while. I'm hoping that the egg shape will give him more to think about.

As soon as I find one, I'll be straight on here to let you all know.
So, does anyone have a strong sewing machine I can borrow and can someone teach me how to make a ball from fabric panels

I don't think even sewing machine stitches would hold up

They would with kevlar thread
I'm not kidding when I say, its strong stuff. I nearly cut my fingers one time when I tried to break the stuff.
I just need to do the double stitching thing, but on the inside of the ball. Somehow.

Re: A couple of suggestions.
Is there such a thing as a undestorable (sp?) toy for staffy ?
I have given up for now trying to find one as Bruno is happy chasing plastic bottles around the lounge as we have a collection of them, as my other half is diabetic and when his sugar go low, lucozade is the quick thing to bring them back to normal So the lucozade serves 2 different things

Re: A couple of suggestions.
I think there might be. I have been looking at Kevlar felt and been doing some tests with it. So far, it seemed to hold up well.
I just need to get some money together for the materials to make a full sized ball to try out with Prince.
IF I can make an Indestructible ball with a guarantee (6 or 12 months or maybe longer), who would be interested in buying one and how much would you pay? I want to work out if its gonna be cost effective. That's if I am allowed to sell them on here.

Re: A couple of suggestions.
there is no toy in existence that i have came across in four years of wasted money that is staffy proof ,, i stick to the £1 solid rubber balls from wilkinsons , a few walks per 2 balls ( 1 for each dog ), beats £10 a kong aka the 1 throw ,
